Cocktail – Limon Mojito
Bacardi Limon, lime, brown sugar, mint, soda
Date Visited – Mar 2015
I’ve never been to a Nikki Beach so it was nice to save it for Miami, the original one, at the very fashionable address of 1 Ocean Drive! I wanted to go for their famous Sunday Brunch but unfortunately I timed my visit with a week long DJ festival so Sunday was a ticket only event. Preferring the more chilled out atmosphere I went at Monday lunchtime when tickets/reservations weren’t necessary. It could have been a nice relaxing two mile beach promenade walk, but I thought I’d save my feet and get the bus, however expecting to get out at 5th and walk from there the bus decided to take a right and head over the bridge to the next island, giving me a much longer walk! Apart from the DJ Festival and bus drama this was a pretty straightforward one, their Limon Mojito is ‘world famous’, and spelt the Spanish way, cos we’re in Latino Miami. I ordered by the glass rather than the $300 bowl! It was nice enough, I tend to prefer my Mojitos with a golden Havana Club rather than Bacardi, but it was refreshing on a very sunny day, and helped wash down the gourmet wood fired pizza.
