Cocktail – Lemongrass Collins

Geisha is more club than bar, and only usually open on a Friday and Saturday night, but the weekend I arrived in Perth they had a Sunday Special. Located in Northbridge, Geisha is an institution, which became evident before I even got there. In the first bar I visited (Mechanics’ Institute) the bartender told me he’d celebrated his 18th there – this became a recurring theme,
It certainly took me back to my youth, not that I was cool enough to drink Moonshine back then. There was no lemongrass vodka in sight though, this place is more about the shooters and bombs, so I ordered the closest I could find to the cocktail ingredients, something fizzy and ginger – a Ginger Moonshine Fizz.
There were posters on the walls advertising various DJ’s but the music wasn’t to my taste. It was very busy though so draws a good crowd, but showing my age, I left before my Uber carriage turned into a pumpkin.
