From one stunning location to another, this time for a European Summer, and with my friend Sharon as chaperone. Previous trip to Istanbul cancelled due to snow, fortunate really as this bar wouldn’t have been open in winter! Located on the Bosphorus in Ortakoy it has stunning views back across the water to the mosque rooftops, and a scenic journey by boat to get there. The bar has changed hands twice since Laila, it is now called Sortie, so no Laila Cocktail on the menu, and no mango puree to make it with. A distinct lack of signatures to choose from so a Rose Sungria it is, and not many more at that price tag!
